TATTOO REMOVAL | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our laser tattoo removal service using the Cutera Enlighten III system is designed to safely and effectively fade or remove unwanted tattoos. At Juniper + Sage Aesthetics, we are committed to providing advanced technology and thoughtful care to help you move forward from ink that no longer fits your story.

Our Enlighten III laser system is one of the most advanced platforms available, delivering ultra-short, high-energy pulses that break tattoo pigment into tiny particles the body can naturally clear over time. Whether you’re looking to lighten a tattoo for a cover-up or gradually remove it altogether, our expert team customizes each treatment based on your skin, ink colors, and goals.
ENLIGHTEN III LASER
Not every tattoo is meant to be forever — and that’s okay.
Whether it’s something you’ve outgrown, a piece that didn’t turn out the way you hoped, or brows that no longer fit your face, we’re here to help you move forward confidently.

At Juniper + Sage Aesthetics, we use the Cutera Enlighten III — one of the most advanced laser systems available for tattoo removal. We chose this device very intentionally because technology matters when it comes to safety, comfort, and results.

WHY ENLIGHTEN III?
Not all tattoo removal lasers are created equal.
The Enlighten III allows us to treat a wider range of ink colors more effectively — including traditionally stubborn shades like green, teal, and bright pigments. It delivers ultra-short, high-energy pulses that break ink into smaller particles, allowing your body to gradually clear them over time.
What that means for you:
• More precise treatments
• Better color targeting
• Efficient, progressive fading
• Custom settings tailored to your skin and tattoo
Multiple sessions are always required, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed — but having the right technology makes a significant difference in how your tattoo responds.
COMFORT IS IMPORTANT
-
We know this isn’t the most relaxing service we offer — so we prioritize comfort wherever we can.
-
We use a Zimmer air chiller throughout the treatment. It continuously blows cool air over the area before, during, and after each laser pulse, which helps reduce discomfort and calm the skin.
-
The other good news?
Treatments are quick. Smaller areas often take just a few minutes of actual laser time.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Tattoo removal is a gradual process. Treatments are typically spaced about 6–8 weeks apart to allow your body time to clear the fragmented ink.
After treatment, it’s normal to experience:
• Redness
• Swelling
• Temporary whitening (“frosting”)
• Possible blistering or scabbing
We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions and guide you every step of the way.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How many sessions will I need? A: Every tattoo is different. Ink color, depth, age, location on the body, and your immune system all play a role. Most tattoos require multiple treatments for optimal fading.
Q: Is tattoo removal painful?
A: Many clients describe the sensation as a quick snap — similar to a rubber band. The Zimmer cooling system helps significantly, and sessions are typically brief.
Q: Will my tattoo be completely gone?
A: Many tattoos fade dramatically, and some clear almost completely. However, results vary, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
Q: Can you remove microbladed brows?
A: Yes. Eyebrows and small cosmetic tattoos are commonly treated and fall into our X-Small pricing category when the total area is less than a quarter.
Q: Is there downtime?
A: You can return to most normal activities right away. Proper aftercare is important to support healing and protect your skin.
